Search Engine Observations "Criminal Justice Schools"

I start my adventure by a simple search for "criminal justice schools". My instinct would normally be to ignore the sponsored listings, but I am concerned I might be missing out on legitimate commercial offerings.

The first thing I notice on the two major search engines (Google and MSN) both have garbage in the sponsored area above the natural listings, but particularly MSN. By garbage I am referring to long, hyphenated URLs that are an obvious attempt to manipulate somebody or something (search engines?). The content is canned, regurgitated for multiple iteration on industry related words. I don't have a problem with that if it is getting me somewhere, but for the most part it is just another layer on top of where I really needed to go. I realize the site is not finalized yet, but I make no secret of my affiliation degreeme.com and the sister site Criminal Justice Resource.

This blog is a discovery process that I hope will benefit that effort as I take the same steps a prospect would take in finding legitimate resources...more on this first step to come.
